CareerSpring is a free online networking and job placement platform that helps first generation and/or low-income students find high quality employment and launch meaningful careers.
What do I get on the platform?
Their career video library lets you explore career options, develop well-informed aspirations, and learn fundamental tips for a career transition. It includes hundreds of videos featuring professions from dozens of industries.
Their career advisor forum can connect you to credible and experienced professionals for career advice that responds to your past experiences, current needs, and future goals.
Their job placement services make it easy to search for and apply to jobs and internships with employers that are interested in hiring first generation and/or low-income talent.
Am I eligible? You must meet at least one of the following criteria:
Neither parent has attended college (first-gen)
Prior Eligibility for Federal Free- or Reduced-Lunch program
Eligibility for Pell Grant Scholarship
Eligibility for social services including Communities in Schools, CHIP, Affordable Housing (Section 8), SNAP Benefits, etc.
